We’ve just completed the 3rd Quarter of 2016 with residential real estate sales in Clinton County continuing at a healthy pace. Sales volume year to date is up 11%. The number of homes sold in the county has also increased year to date to 450 from 394 in 2015. Essex and Franklin Counties have also had more completed sales with 215 in Essex up from 166, and 233 in Franklin up from 206 in 2015. 2016 continues to be a strong year for real estate sales in the North Country. At the half year mark, sales volume in Clinton County was up 31% over last year at the same time. Most of the increase (24%) occurred in the first Quarter, when a mild winter and early spring encouraged home buying activity.
