The Home Buying Process

The home buying process can be an exciting, and sometimes overwhelming, experience.  Purchasing a home is a major investment.  The knowledge and experience of a Fesette agent can guide and support you through the process.

Meet with your Fesette Agent

With your Fesette agent, you will discuss your goals, research your options, and define your next steps toward purchasing a home.

Talk with a Lender

A lender will help determine how much you can borrow and the types of loans you may qualify for.  Securing a pre-approval letter from a lender is important as it shows you are a motivated and qualified buyer.

Find the Home that’s Right for You

Do you want to live in a particular school district or neighborhood?  Do you prefer ranch-style or two-story homes?  Your Fesette agent will work diligently to find you a home that fits your lifestyle and budget.

Seal the Deal

Once you have found a home to purchase, your Fesette agent will prepare an offer and negotiate the contract – including price, terms and conditions – so that it is acceptable to you.  When necessary, your Fesette agent will use their expertise and creativity to find solutions that bring the buyer and seller to a mutual agreement.  Upon acceptance of your offer, your Fesette agent will begin the escrow process.

Proceed through Escrow

The escrow process can sometimes be daunting, but your Fesette agent has the knowledge and experience to help you through it.  Here are some things you’ll need to navigate through during escrow:

Home inspection
Loan application
Appraisal
Repairs due to inspection
Condition of title

Closing the Deal

Prior to or on the day of closing, you will tour the property again – known as the final walk through – with your Fesette agent. This is to ensure that the property is in the same condition (or better) as when you signed the sales contract. At closing, your attorney will review and explain all of the mortgage and closing documents. You will sign paperwork to complete the transaction, and in return get the keys to your new home. Congratulations! Thank you for trusting Fesette Realty with this important decision.
